An outing for the whole family, with plenty for everyone to see and do and lots of space for picnics and outdoor activities too.
Mills Park is a large serene garden with sweeping lawns and mature trees providing a haven for birds and wildlife.
There are a wide variety of plants which include colourful roses, camellias, bulbs, Louisiana iris, bottlebrushes, palms and many more.
Rustic sculptures are placed throughout the garden created by the owner, Ian Mills, which add to the charm of this garden. Ian will be giving demonstrations on metal artwork throughout the day.
There is a a large pond with water lilies and Koi. Regular visitors to these water features are wild ducks along with the occasional long neck tortoise.
There is a great deal to enjoy in this beautiful, peaceful garden.
The directions to get to Mills garden:
Travel down Burma road to the end which then turns into Wilkinson Rd, and 366 Wilkinson is the first turn off to the right. Travel down a long avenue of gum trees to the garden. When driving down Burma Rd please watch out for the wild ducks on the side of the road.
