Tampara 4 – 5 May, 10.00 am – 4.00 pm
50 Anglesea Crescent, Belhus
Situated on 10 acres Tampara (meaning place of good memories) offers you the opportunity to get away from it all in this beautiful parkland garden. On arrival, the London Plane trees form a canopy of shade welcoming you to this large garden in style. Enjoy the parkland with 0.8 hectare (2 acre) freshwater lake attracting many species of birds. Native gums give way to many exotic trees closer to the homestead: Claret Ash, Golden Ash, Snow Pear, Manchurian pear, Chinese elm to name a few.
A formal garden planted with roses provide stunning background to gazebos, and sunken garden with water feature and formal hedging surrounding standard magnolias. A cottage garden and raised vegetable garden complete the visit with seasonal produce and colour.
